May Newsletter

May is “Leave a Legacy Month”.

We all want to leave a positive imprint on our corner of the world. Making a donation of stocks, bonds, life insurance policy, or leaving a bequest to a charity is one way that you can leave a legacy through charitable giving.

There can also be financial benefits to the donor by making gifts of this type. If you are in a position to do so, we recommend that you engage your financial advisor to determine the type of legacy gift that works best for you and your financial situation.

If you are interested in better understanding how this type of gift can strengthen communities across Simcoe and Muskoka, please reach out. I would love to connect with you over a cup of coffee so we can turn your ambition to leave a legacy into a reality.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Employee Spotlight: Suzanne Prosser, Relationship Manager Workplace and Corporate Giving

We believe in investing in people and forming meaningful connections. We see ourselves as more than just a funder. We listen, we collaborate and we bring communities together. Here we’re pleased to introduce you to one of the amazing humans doing this work.

Working at United Way fills my passion for giving back and giving hope. I enjoy every day when I have an opportunity to speak with current or new donors and share the amazing collaborative projects that we support and that make a difference in peoples lives. I love this organization and what we do!

Fun fact: Summer is my favorite season, I love the quiet of gardening, walking my little Malshi dog and enjoying the hot summer days on a patio with friends!
