As we turn the calendar to a new year, I want to thank everyone who chose to give to United Way Simcoe Muskoka in 2025. Your decision to give is more than a donation. It is a statement of belief in your community.
Because of your generosity, we are able to support local programs tackling some of our region’s most complex social issues. United Way funding brings together multiple partners to collaborate on initiatives making a real difference in housing, mental health, food security, and income stability.
Because of your generosity, we are able to provide micro-grants and interest-free loans that can prevent people from losing their homes. United Way funded financial supports can help stabilize individuals and families when unexpected challenges arise, serving as the bridge that keeps people housed and connected to their community.
Because of your generosity, we are contributing to stronger, more resilient communities across Simcoe Muskoka.
On behalf of our Board, staff, community partners, and the many people whose lives are touched by this work, thank you for believing a better tomorrow is possible when we work together.

Your United Way in Action
Women United 2025 Grant Recipients
Last November, United Way Simcoe Muskoka’s Women United proudly announced the recipients of the 2025 Women United Grants, celebrating two initiatives that are creating meaningful change for women and families across out communities.
Funding was awarded to Community Living Huntsville’s Kitchen Connections and Gateway Centre for Learning’s Everyday Money for Women. In addition, Women United continues to amplify its impact by directing a portion of funds to United Way Simcoe Muskoka’s Community Collaborative projects supporting women and children, including The Art Engagement Project, The Mobile Youth Wellness Hub, and Finding Home.
By investing in programs that build skills, confidence, and community connection, Women United is helping women and families not only meet today’s challenges, but thrive in the future.

Get Ready for the Coldest Night of the Year on February 28, 2026
This family-friendly, winterrific event invites the community to step out into the cold together, to help support our neighbours facing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.
This year, United Way Simcoe Muskoka is proud to support two incredible events:
- Celebrating its fifth year in Bradford, we’re partnering with WOW Living to support Groundwork, a collaborative project that provides employment opportunities, mental health supports and other vital services to those at risk of experiencing homelessness. Register or donate at cnoy.org/lbradford
- In Midland, every dollar raised will help to address local housing and homelessness, with proceeds from the event supporting both The Guesthouse Shelter’s operating costs and United Way programs that provide individuals at risk of losing their homes with micro-grants and interest-free loans. Register or donate at cnoy.org/midland
