We couldn’t do it without you!
“Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year; but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.”

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at United Way Simcoe Muskoka.
As a volunteer-supported organization, we rely on the generosity of dedicated community members to make amazing things happen.
Volunteer your time and skills to help strengthen your community. We have event, committee and board opportunities. Invest in your United Way to create lasting social change in Simcoe Muskoka.
Be a part of making recommendations for funding interventions to homelessness in rural and remote communities across Ontario. If you have knowledge of solutions to homelessness in Indigenous communities, or have knowledge of capital projects (the planning, permits, building, budgeting etc.), then consider joining our Advisory Board.
Commitment is a minimum of two years and meetings are held bi-monthly, except during funding allocation times when meetings will be more frequent.
If you are between 15 and 29 and wish to be involved in your community, consider being a part of United Way Simcoe Muskoka’s Youth Council. Youth Council provides advice and recommendations from a youth perspective to United Way about social, environmental and other aspects that could influence how we invest in the community.
This is a one year commitment starting in the fall with meetings every second month, except during funding allocation times when meetings may be more frequent. Most meetings are virtual.
