This past weekend, I joined members of your United Way team at our community’s largest Pride Parade in Downtown Barrie.

I showed up for my friends, colleagues, and family who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

I showed up for the people we serve, our community partners, and the agencies doing work on behalf of 2SLGBTQIA+ folks.

I showed up because it is important to me that no one feels threatened or scared to be their most authentic self or to love whomever they love.

Allyship is important.

Standing up and speaking out for what’s right is important.

Showing up is important.

Love is love.
