#HopeMoves

GET ACTIVE AND SUPPORT United Way Simcoe Muskoka!

From August 8-22, Circles Muskoka is inviting you to join us in stretching out your limbs to get moving to support Simcoe Muskoka residents living in poverty with #HopeMoves.

With #HopeMoves, we are challenging Muskoka residents of any age to get moving and aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity per day for one week. You can build this into the activity you already do routinely or you can add in extras. From walking to wakeboarding to chair yoga – anything goes!

We invite you to join the Circles Muskoka team by registering via the form on this page.

When you register you will receive a unique URL that you can use to fundraise, or you can use our pledge form to gather pledges based on the number of days you reach your 30-minute goal.

Supporting Circles Muskoka

When you participate in #HopeMoves, you will be directly supporting Circles Muskoka, a community collaborative committed to the reduction of poverty by harnessing the power of relationship.

It creates relationships across economic lines, matching people who have self-identified as low income with community volunteers looking to make a difference. Together, they form a supportive and reciprocal friendship called a “Circle”, made up of a Leader and their Allies.

#HopeMoves people from poverty to possibility

Every day, more than 60,000 residents of Simcoe Muskoka face the hardships and obstacles caused by poverty. These hurdles can make everyday necessities out of reach; paying for utilities, buying healthy food for your family, securing transportation to a job or finding affordable childcare are just some of the difficulties that poverty creates.

By participating in #HopeMoves, you are supporting the poverty alleviation and social inclusion work that United Way Simcoe Muskoka facilitates across Muskoka.
