Group of friends roasting marshmallows

Is a group of young adults making our community stronger in awesome ways.

We specialize in social events for social good.

GenNexters are in their 20s and 30s who use events, activities and social media to connect with other young professionals to make a difference right here at home.

Through contests, competitions, mixers and other memorable experiences, we inspire others to learn more, dream more and do more.

Our first event was a ton of fun!

Great food doesn’t have to be expensive

That was the theme of our first event, a cooking class that raised awareness about food insecurity in Simcoe Muskoka and taught us how to stretch our grocery budget without compromising on health or flavour.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the event! If you missed it, be sure to check out some of the photos and snag your free copy of the GenNext Cookbook here.

Why GenNext?

GenNext is Now – our generation is now the largest living generation. That’s right, the largest. By 2028, this crew will account for more than 75% of the workforce in Canada. Now is the time to help build strong communities for our future.

GenNext is Passionate – we are on a purpose-driven path to create something amazing, because we believe that together, we can change lives.

GenNext is Involved – we want meaningful engagement and volunteer opportunities. We want to be inspired by others and, in turn, motivate other to get involved.

Join us for some amazing events this year!

Here are just some of the events that we’ve hosted or will be hosting this year!

  • Speed networking (with free LinkedIn headshots)
  • Day of Caring (a pop-up volunteering opportunity)
  • UWSM Amazing Race (learn about your community while racing against the clock – and other teams)
  • Community Dodgeball Tournament (admit it – you miss playing dodgeball too, don’t you?!)
