UWSM’s Call for Funding Applications has closed.

All funding has now been allocated. We had tremendous response from community agencies.

Thank you for your interest in the ECSF.

All applicants will be notified by July 31, 2020.

Funding recipients will be listed on our website shortly.

COVID-19 has been top of mind for everyone and is affecting the way we all support those who are vulnerable in our communities. This pandemic has created increased supply shortages and service disruptions and a higher demand for local services.

United Way Simcoe Muskoka is pleased to provide funding to local community service organizations to support to vulnerable community members. The funds are being distributed as part of Employment and Social Development Canada’s (ESDC) Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF). This funding is meant to assist charities to adapt frontline services and support those most at risk in Simcoe Muskoka during the COVID-19 pandemic.

All applications were assessed by our local ECSF Review Committee

Applications were accepted on a rolling basis and rolling basis and reviewed, as received, from May 19 – July 15, 2020.

Applications have now closed.

All funding has been allocated to community partners across Simcoe Muskoka.

All applicants will be notified by July 31, 2020

Other funding is available through the Canadian Red Cross and the Community Foundations of Canada. Click here to see where you should be applying.

Please check in with your local CFC or Red Cross to determine if funding is still available via their separate funding streams.

Application Instructions

  1. Download the application by clicking the black Download the ECSF Application button below.
  2. Complete the application and save as a Word document on your computer. Do not print out and handwrite your responses.
  3. Once you have completed the application to the best of your abilities, print it and sign the last page. If you do not have access to a printer, an e-signature will suffice.
  4. Fill in the general contact details using the form below.
  5. Scan your signed application and save to your computer. Click the Choose File button to upload your completed and signed application using the form below.
  6. Click the red Submit button.
