         Helping Displaced Ukrainians

The Situation

Helping Ukrainians displaced by the war. They had a country. Their lives were filled with family, home, jobs and community. The war in Ukraine took it all. Suddenly they find themselves here, on the other side of the world, in Barrie. They don’t speak our language. Their families are fractured. They don’t have homes, jobs, daycare, or furniture. They arrived with what they could carry. Now they’re restarting their lives from zero. They desperately need your help. Show them you care by donating what you can.

Helping Them Set Down Roots

The task is immense. Imagine the challenge of restarting your life and those of your family from nothing in a strange, new land. One of the saddest things is that a large proportion of our Ukrainian friends are wives, mothers, and grandmothers with children who have left behind husbands and fathers who aren’t allowed to leave Ukraine. This means they are essentially single parent families forced to make the most of the challenging situation they find themselves in without their partners. Your generous donation will not only help them settle but will also show them they are welcome in their new community and that Canadians are a warm, caring people who want them to succeed.

Our new Ukrainian neighbours thank you from the bottom of their hearts for your help!

You are changing lives!
