United Way Simcoe Muskoka is proud to partner with Barrie Families Unite in support of its “Doors to Dignity” Campaign. The campaign will support the opening of a social enterprise thrift store designed to provide dignified access to essentials for local individuals and families struggling to make ends meet.
The thrift store, operated by Barrie Families Unite, will serve as a cornerstone of the community, offering low-cost or no-cost essentials while acting as a hub for connection, skill-building, and sustainability. Under the “Doors to Dignity” initiative, clients referred by local agencies will be empowered to shop for items that meet their specific needs, fostering dignity, choice, and independence.
